Megan Levy-McLaughlin, B.A. (Hons.), JD

Megan is an associate lawyer at Tupman & Bloom LLP. She joined the firm in 2018 shortly after her call to the bar. Megan represents clients in a wide range of court proceedings, such as will challenges, applications to pass estate and attorney accounts, dependent support claims, rectification and interpretation of wills and trusts, variations of trust deeds, power of attorney and capacity disputes, estate and trust administration issues, trustee applications for advice and directions, appointment or removal of trustees and guardians, and breaches of trust. Megan represents individuals, trust companies and fiduciaries. Megan appears regularly before the Superior Court of Justice to advocate for clients.

Prior to joining Tupman & Bloom LLP, Megan completed her articles at a mid-sized insurance defence litigation boutique in downtown Toronto. During law school at Queen’s University, Megan worked as a student caseworker for the Elder Law Clinic, assisting seniors and lower-income individuals in the Kingston area with estate and guardianship related disputes as well as testamentary planning, including drafting wills and powers of attorney. Megan also obtained a Certificate in Public International Law while at Queen’s Law and had the opportunity to complete two study-abroad terms, one in England and the other in Hong Kong.

Megan is a Member-At-Large of the Ontario Bar Association’s Elder Law Executive Committee. She is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, The Advocate’s Society, Young Women in Law, and the Junior Trusts and Estates Practitioners Group (JTEP). In her spare time, Megan enjoys baking, travelling and visual art, and will take any opportunity she can to practice her language skills in French, Spanish and Italian.
