James is an associate lawyer at Tupman & Bloom LLP.

He joined the firm in 2022 after working at a boutique firm with a focus on estate litigation.

James received his Bachelor of Arts degree (International Relations) from the University of Western Ontario and his Master’s degree in History from Trent University.

Upon completion of his Master’s degree, James obtained his Juris Doctor from Queen’s University. James sharpened his advocacy skills at law school by competing in the Jessup International Law Moot and working at the Kingston Community Legal Clinic representing low-income residents at various administrative tribunals. James also attended the Bader International Study Center at the Herstmonceux Castle in England where he completed an intensive program in International Law.

James zealously advocates for his clients. He recognizes the often-acrimonious nature of litigation and is always striving to find innovative solutions to his clients’ legal issues and disputes. James understands that a successful lawyer-client relationship requires active communication for clients to understand all steps of the process.

Outside of the office, he enjoys golfing, skiing, and spending time at his family cottage in Haliburton.
