Jessica Butler

Jessica J. Butler is a Senior Law Clerk at Tupman & Bloom LLP, practicing in all areas of wills, estates, and trusts, including administration, planning, and litigation.

With over 13 years of experience in the legal profession, Jessica has developed strong expertise in managing complex, high-value estates and trusts. She assists estate trustees, executors, beneficiaries and trust companies with all aspects of estate and trust administration, from initial probate applications through to final distribution. Jessica is frequently relied upon to lead the day-to-day administration of complex estate files and to coordinate with counsel, accountants, financial institutions and other professionals.

Jessica’s practice includes the preparation of probate applications, estate and trust accounts, and materials for both informal and court passings of accounts, including contested proceedings. She has significant experience supporting estate litigation matters, including will challenges, interpretation issues, capacity disputes and power of attorney litigation.

Her work regularly involves the preparation, audit and analysis of detailed estate and trust accounts, as well as the coordination of comprehensive financial disclosure. She works closely with external advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and procedural requirements. Jessica is known for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage large, multi-faceted files.

Jessica brings a practical and client-focused approach to her work. She is committed to guiding clients through complex and often emotionally sensitive matters with clarity, responsiveness and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Prior to joining Tupman & Bloom LLP, Jessica worked at a national full-service law firm, where she worked in a specialized private client services group handling sophisticated estate, trust and litigation matters.

Outside of her work, Jessica enjoys live music, DJing, discovering new restaurants, and spending time outdoors exploring Toronto’s parks and trails with her husband and their dog, Anakin Skybarker.
