Jonathan Hooper is a Partner at Tupman & Bloom LLP in the Halifax Office, servicing Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. He practices in the areas of wills, estate administration/probate, trusts, and estate litigation.
Jonathan assists clients with preparing wills, powers of attorney, personal directives for medical care, guardianship appointments, and creating trusts. He is counsel to individuals, couples, professionals, business owners, trust companies and charities. Jonathan also assists executors understand and carry out the important work of administering estates properly.
Jonathan is counsel to executors and beneficiaries in estate litigation claims. He also represents attorneys acting under a power of attorney, trustees of trusts and all persons involved in adult guardianship. Jonathan has a broad range of litigation experience including property disputes, construction law, commercial and contract disputes, and class actions lawsuits.
Jonathan has appeared at all levels of court in Nova Scotia representing clients in the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, Probate Court and the Court of Appeal. He has also been counsel for clients in litigation matters in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Ontario.
Jonathan has a B.A. from Mount Allison University and an L.L.B. from the University of Auckland. He is called to the bar in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and New Zealand.
